Mas de la Griffe – Ecological camping

Our yurts are “Westernized”. We like to call them “yourtes des Pyrénées.” Made to resist the blazing sun of southern France, and the rigourous mountain winters, they are constructed with cotton tarp better adapted to our climate, joined by our care in a sewing workshop located in the lowlands. The walls and roof are bamboo, or hazel (local), and we’ve added windows of clear plastic material.They are raised on wooden platforms, of which the planks are pine and the frame of local chesnut.
